An Indian-Italian Wedding in the gorgeous countryside of Veneto, Italy

Location: Le Risare, Padova

A viral intercultural love story brought people together from across the globe at a rustic 18th-century villa in Padua. Families from India and Italy finally met in Italy's lush countryside estate, and everyone was welcome for their destination Italian wedding.

Though they came from different countries and religions, love found a way for Giulia and Shreyan to meet in Berlin. They wanted to marry sooner, but they chose to wait until travel restrictions were removed so that they could form their wedding in Italy, in Giulia’s hometown.

The couple's rustic summer wedding took place at an authentic Venetian villa with lovely touches of greenery, ivory garden roses, pastel, and dried florals. A colossal door framed with two raffia panels covered with a garland of foliage and florals was the backdrop for their ceremony. The distressed brick created a stunning setting and the lush green hues was accentuated against it. Giulia and Shreyan were inspired by nature, and you can see that incorporated beautifully into the wedding design.

Their families and friends present at the wedding enjoyed an entirely vegetarian spread of food featuring Italian and Indian cuisine. The round tables were set with nude table cloths and small clay vessels filled with greenery and those ivory and pastel florals. String lights created a soft romantic atmosphere for the couple and their guests to dance to the tunes of a live Bossa Nova band and Bollywood Music.

The Italian wedding planner and designer ensured that everything was eco-friendly and locally sourced. Giulia wore a custom pearl headband made in Italy, and they both wore Italian handmade leather shoes from a small shop the bride would visit when she was young. Her hair and makeup were masterfully done by her family, who run a highly rated beauty salon in Italy. Each guest was given a handmade candle from Italian brand, Pernici, which  were thoughtfully scented with a mix of Indian and Italian fragrances.

Giulia and Shreyan really wanted their destination wedding to be steeped with local Italian culture. They plan to have an Indian wedding sometime soon in the future, however, there were still meaningful touches of the groom's culture integrated into the service.

Diversity and romance sifted together at this rustic Italian wedding, and it seems that every detail was done with purposeful intentions. The Italian wedding venue,  Le Risare estate is rich in history and art and is spread over 100 hectares. It hosted stunning views and many backdrops for their photographer, Wild Heart Photo & Film, to capture romantic shots of the couple.
