Opened in 2015, the resort is designed by Italian architect Matteo Thun. His approach was ‘luxury through subtraction’ creating a minimalist style while capturing the refreshing beauty of the lagoon light, lush gardens and Venice views. The island is dedicated to leisure, with three pools including one family and one adult-only setting, a spectacular JW Venice Spa, overlooking the lagoon, lush gardens, olive groves and cycle paths. There are highly professional culinary classes at the Sapori Cooking Academy. Families have space, sports pitches and a Kids Club. JW Venice Spa is a sanctuary of positive energy and breathtaking views over the Lagoon and Venice. It has a contemporary styled pool, with moveable glass wall, an extensive heat and water facility, and features a gloriously romantic Couples Suite.

Accommodation offers two distinct experiences: the JW and JW Retreats. The JW rooms and suites are set in the main hotel, home to the Rooftop Pool Deck, Sagra restaurant and Rose Lounge Bar; distinguished in Venice for their light spaciousness. The JW Retreats are set in beautifully secluded locations around the gardens with the dedicated services of the JW Retreats team, an exclusive check-in and private breakfasts at Dopolavoro.

Each of the four JW Retreats can be booked in its entirety for private events. Villa Rose is a secluded home in its own garden with pool and it can accommodate up to 7 guests.
